2021 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 1
Player: Mylena Testoni (Barton)
Reigning KJCCC Player of the Week Mylena Testoni once again displayed stellar numbers for the Cougars helping Barton to a perfect 5-0 week. The sophomore closed out the weekend with a career high 20 kills, posting a plus .500 hitting percentage for the second consecutive week and recorded three double-doubles in the sixteen sets played.

Setter: Isabella Guedes (Barton)
Isabella Guedes distributed 20-plus assists in four of the five contests within the Cougars’ 6-2 offense helping Barton to a 5-0 week. The freshman tied a season high 27 assists, to go along with, a season high five service aces in Friday’s match against McCook.

Co-Defense: Hanna Miller (Barton) and Caitlyn Rexroat (Butler)
Hanna Miller helped control the Cougars’ backline reaching double digit digs in all five matches for the week. The libero posted a new season best 24 digs in Saturday’s opening match against Central-Columbus, averaging 6.06 per set throughout the five matches.
Reigning KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week, sophomore returner from Lansing, KS, Caitlyn Rexroat, put together another solid week as the Grizzlies libero. Rexroat totaled 86 digs on the week making her season total at 207, just nine digs shy of her season total in the spring. Rexroat kept the ball in play allowing the Grizzlies offense to control most of their matches as all three of their wins came in straight sets.
