Iva Halacheva was a key player in extending Cowley's consecutive sweep streak to 11 straight including two this past week against Rose State and KJCCC foe Allen County. Halacheva recorded her first double-double on the season with 13 kills and 10 digs against Allen County while compiling an impressive .500 hitting percentage and adding two aces. She averaged an outstanding 4.83 kills per set and hit a .429 hitting percentage on the week.

Maliah Griddine dominated defensively in the Scotties undefeated week. The 6'7 middle from Kansas City had seven solo blocks, 10 block assists, and had a total of 27 kills for the week. Griddine also hit above .600 in two of the four matches and scored 39 points on the week.

Johnson County freshman setter Ryleigh McBurney tallied 136 assists and averaged 8.6 assists per set while helping Johnson County knock off three ranked teams, including No. 2 Parkland at the Kirkwood Invitational last week. Their only loss was to No. 1 Iowa Central. McBurney opened the Invitational with a career-high 46 assists. The following day in a three-set sweep over No. 2 Parkland, she tallied 37 assists and followed with 31 in a sweep over No. 14 Lincoln Land.
