Iva Halacheva was a key player in Cowley's 5-0 week with her hitting .579 and averaging an amazing 4.69 kills per set with only five hitting errors. She added nine aces and was named to the Cowley Invitational tournament All-Tournament team where she hit .494 with 49 kills, four aces, eight digs, and two blocks. She recorded a season-high .769 hitting percentage in the win over Carl Sandburg. She currently leads the conference in kills, kills per set and hitting percentage.

Freshman libero Maddie Steiner tallied 104 digs while helping Johnson County post a 4-1 record last week. Her high total was 30 in a five-set loss to NJCAA D-I No. 2-ranked Iowa Western. That was her fourth 30 plus dig effort of the season. She also tallied five aces. Steiner currently ranks second in KJCCC D-II and third in the NJCAA with 386 digs. She is also second in the conference and eighth nationally in digs per set at 6.43.

Rossana Papa was named to the Cowley Invitational tournament All-Tournament team where she hit .667 with six kills, 132 assists at 13.20 assists per set, nine aces, six blocks, and 18 digs. She averaged an impressive 12.06 assists per set as Cowley went 5-0 on the week. She added 16 aces, seven blocks and 29 digs in the five matches. She also recorded her third career double-double with a career-high 58 assists and 10 digs in the win over Cisco College.
