2022 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 5
Player: Aubreigh Haxton - Seward County CC
Aubreigh Haxton had a career week as she helped No. 12 Seward County Community College to a 2-0 week and improved to a perfect 4-0 in the KJCCC. Haxton had a career high 20 kills against Otero College with a .405 hitting percentage, and two blocks in the contest. Haxton a lefty hitter from Argonia, Kansas averaged 4.3 kills per set, with an overall .372 hitting percentage on the week. She continues to get better and better every week and last week was no different with a career numbers.

Setter: Rainey Aven - Butler CC
Rainey Aven, sophomore setter from Hereford, TX, was solid yet again for the Grizzlies as they picked up two conference wins this week defeating Garden at home and Barton on the road. Aven averaged 11.8 assists per set totaling 81 on the week. She put down six balls finishing with six kills and had five service aces on the week, all five against the Broncbusters. She finished with six blocks and 22 digs as well.

Defense: Jattna Pena - Dodge City CC
Dodge City enjoyed a 4-1 week last week picking up their first KJCCC win of the season with a three-set sweep of Cloud County on the road & then a 3-1 performance at the Wyobraska Tournament. Jatnna Pena continues to progress as the Conquistadors libero and had a strong week finishing with 91 digs, 13 aces, and five assists in five matches. She recorded a career-best 30 digs in match with Central Wyoming and finished the Wyobraska Tournament with a 27-dig performance and had seven aces in the win. On the year Pena has 216 digs to lead the team, adding 19 aces, and nine assists.
