2022 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 6

Player: Ozge Tan - Dodge City CC
Dodge City picked up two big KJCCC wins beating Butler for the first time since 2016 and dominating Colby in a three-set win. Ozge Tan continued her sensational sophomore campaign as she a career night against Butler matching her career high in kills with 20 and recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 17 digs, while adding two aces. Against Colby she finished with nine kills, three blocks, four digs, and one ace. On the season Tan leads the team in kills with 238 kills, while adding 34 aces, nine assists, 184 digs, and 12 blocks. She ranks eighth in NJCAA Division in kills per set at 3.84 and 14th in total kills.

Setter: Nur Yaren Turkmenoglu - Dodge City CC
Dodge City picked up two big KJCCC wins beating Butler for the first time since 2016 and dominating Colby in a three-set win. Nur Yaren Turkmenoglu has been the straw the stirs the drink for the Conquistadors at setter helping lead the way all season, against Butler she registered 49 assists, adding five digs, seven aces, and three blocks. Against Colby she tallied 31 assists, along with two kills, three blocks, two digs, and five aces. On the season she’s amassed 679 assists, 50 kills, 53 aces, 91 digs, and 18 blocks and recently broke the school records for career aces and assists. She ranks third in NJCAA Division I in service aces, aces per set (0.85), and assists per set (10.95) and eighth in total assists.

Defense: Hanna Miller - Barton CC
Hanna Miller protected the Barton defense in the Cougars fifth set victory in Colby. The sophomore recorded a team high 25 digs averaging 5.0 digs per set while holding a perfect service receive in 20 chances.
