2022 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 11
Player: Kennedy Kelly - Butler CC
Kennedy Kelly, sophomore middle blocker, was dominant yet again, as she helped lead the Grizzlies to a 2-0 week that saw them come from behind to defeat #13 Seward as well a quick 3-0 sweep of the Blue Dragons on Friday night. Kelly had a team high 16 kills in the Grizzlies five-set thriller over Seward, which kept Butler in the hunt for a share of the KJCCC title. Friday night was much of the same for Kelly as she hit .727 putting away eight balls with zero errors in the blistering win over Hutchinson. She also finished the week with nine blocks, seven coming in the Win over #13 Seward. Kelly still holds the top spot in the nation in attack percentage hitting .405% this season.

Setter: Nur Yaren Turkmenoglu - Dodge City CC
Dodge City wrapped up the regular season with a pair of wins last week over Colby and Barton to move to 21-8 on the season marking the most wins since 2016 for the Conquistadors. Nur Yaren Turkmenoglu had perhaps some of her best performances of the season last week for the Conqs with a pair of double-doubles. She tallied 37 assists with 17 digs in the win over Colby adding two aces and a block, while against Barton she had a season-high 52 assists with 13 digs and added four kills, an ace, and three blocks. On the season she has 1,093 assists with average of 10.93 assists per set and has added 76 aces, 69 kills, 183 digs, and 26 blocks. She currently ranks ninth in total assists and fourth in aces and assists per set in the nation, while ranking seventh in aces per set (0.76). Turkmen also broke her third school record last week breaking the record of single season aces.

Defense: Jatnna Pena - Dodge City CC
Dodge City wrapped up the regular season with a pair of wins last week over Colby and Barton to move to 21-8 on the season marking the most wins since 2016 for the Conquistadors. Jatnna Pena continues her strong play at libero for the Conquistadors as she recorded 27 digs in the win over Coby added four assists and two aces. In the win over Barton she posted 21 digs and also had five assists. On the season Pena has 455 digs along with 31 aces, 38 assists, and two kills; she ranks 18th in the nation in digs per set with 4.74.
