2024 KJCCC Division 2 Volleyball Players of the Week - Week 2
COLBY, Kan. – Johnson County Community College has swept week two of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Week honors with Kennedy Smalley, Taylin Stallbaumer, and Carlie Martin all earning honors.
COLBY, Kan. – Johnson County Community College has swept week two of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Week honors with Kennedy Smalley, Taylin Stallbaumer, and Carlie Martin all earning honors.
Offensive Player of the Week (Kennedy Smalley – Johnson County) - Smalley tallied 14 kills and hit .300 to help lead the number three ranked Lady Cavaliers to a sweep over Kansas City Kansas to open conference play. The sophomore outside hitter also recorded 12 digs to post her second double-double on the season.
Setter of the Week (Taylin Stallbaumer – Johnson County) Stallbaumer earned her second-straight KJCCC Division 2 Volleyball setter of the week as the number three ranked Cavaliers swept Kansas City Kansas in their conference opening match. In the match, Stallbaumer recorded 33 assists to average 11.00 assists per set and had two blocks to go along with three digs.
Defensive Player of the Week (Carlie Martin – Johnson County) – A defensive specialist from Meade, Kansas, Martin topped double digits in digs for a fifth straight match by recording 16 digs in a sweep over Kansas City Kansas to open conference play for the number three ranked Lady Cavaliers.
