KJCCC Volleyball Sets New Record With 11 Players Named All-Americans

CHARLOTTE, NC – For just the second time in history, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has double-digit All-Americans in a single year after 11 players from six different institutions had their names listed on the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 and Division 2 Volleyball All-America teams released on Tuesday, December 9th.
A total of four players earned NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball All-America honors, led by First-Team All-America Stasa Stamenkovic (Barton), while seven more players were named NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball All-Americans which included First-Team All-Americans Hanna Darvas (Cowley), Ava Esser (Johnson County), and Sanoma Hunter (KCKCC). Other NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball All-Americans included Amanda Caputi (Colby, Second-Team), Mina Kaneko (Barton, Second-Team), and Aubrey Olander (Barton, Third-Team), while other Division 2 Volleyball All-Americans included Valentina Rolando (KCKCC, Second-Team), Cali Honeyman (Highland, Second-Team), Veronica Rolando (KCKCC, Third-Team), and Ashlynn Jaccard (Cowley, Third-Team).
The 11 All-Americans surpasses the 2018 season, the only other year that saw double-digit All-Americans from the KJCCC when the conference had 10 players earn All-America status. Dating back to 1975 (first year that data is available from the NJCAA), 239 players from the KJCCC have now earned All-America status, which includes 32 different players who have been named two-time NJCAA All-Americans. Both Darvas and Caputi are part of the 32 players to have been named a two-time NJCAA-All American, following both Phoebe Reyes (Barton), and Laura Bonomi (Cowley) who both earned their second NJCAA All-America accolades during the 2024 season. Stasa Stamenkovic (Barton) NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball First Team All-American
Named the KJCCC Division 1 Volleyball Freshman of the Year, Stamenkovic had a stellar first year in Great Bend after being named a two-time KJCCC D1 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week on her way to becoming one of the premier two-way players in the NJCAA. Finishing the year with 3.49 kills per set to rank third in the KJCCC, Stamenkovic led the league in total kills with 468 and was fourth in the KJCCC in total digs (469). Nationally, Stamenkovic ranked sixth in kills, 18th in kills per set, and 30th in total digs.
Amanda Caputi (Colby) – NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball Second Team All-American
Colby’s first two-time NJCAA All-American in program history, Caputi was the 2025 KJCCC Division 1 Volleyball Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Trojans to a 24-7 overall record and KJCCC D1 volleyball runner-up finish in the regular season and NJCAA D1 Volleyball Plains District Tournament runner-up finish. Caputi led all KJCCC D1 volleyball players with 11.13 assists per set and had 71 total kills on a .364 attack percentage while adding 34 service aces and 71 total blocks. Nationally, Caputi led NJCAA Division 1 volleyball in assists per set, ranked fourth in total assists (1,191), and 119th in total blocks.
Mina Kaneko (Barton) – NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball Second Team All-American
A five-time KJCCC D1 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, Kaneko was all over the floor defensively for the Cougars while helping BCC win their second-straight NJCAA D1 Volleyball Plains District Tournament title and trip to the NJCAA D1 Volleyball National Tournament. The KJCCC D1 volleyball leader in digs (651), Kaneko ranked third in the conference in digs per set (4.86) and 12th in service aces (41) while ranking seventh nationally in total digs and 15th nationally in digs per set.
Aubrey Olander (Barton) – NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball Third Team All-American
Olander made her presence known on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court, leading the KJCCC in blocks per set (1.28) and total blocks (171) while ranking third in attack percentage (.329) and ninth in kills (277). Garnering first-team All-KJCCC accolades, Olander finished her Barton career as the all-time leader in single-season assisted blocks (148) while ranking third in career blocks (295) after ranking third in total blocks in the NJCAA this season and eighth in blocks per set.
Hanna Darvas (Cowley) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball First Team All-American
The KJCCC Division 2 Volleyball Most Valuable Player, Darvas led KJCCC Division 2 volleyball in assists per set (10.80) and total assists (1,318) while ranking fourth in the league in service aces (59). Among the NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball national leaders, Darvas ranked third in assists per set and sixth in total assists and was in the top 70 in service aces.
Ava Esser (Johnson County) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball First Team All-American
Finishing in the top-five of KJCCC Division 2 volleyball in three offensive categories, Esser ranked second in the league in kills per set (3.87), third in total kills (46), and fourth in attack percentage (.304) while ranking ninth in total blocks (80). Esser’s 460 kills ranked 14th among all NJCAA Division 2 volleyball players with her 3.87 kills per set ranking 21st while becoming the 30th NJCAA All-American in JCCC volleyball history.
Sanoma Hunter (KCKCC) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball First Team All-American
One of just two KJCCC D2 volleyball players to finish the year with an attack percentage above .400, Hunter finished the year with the second most blocks in the league (118) while recording a KJCCC-best 1.40 blocks per set. On the offensive end, Hunter averaged 2.43 kills per set which ranked 12th and had a .417 attack percentage which ranked fifth among all NJCAA Division 2 volleyball players. The 1.40 blocks per set average was sixth best in the NJCAA while her 118 total blocks ranked 20th.
Valentina Rolando (KCKCC) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Second Team All-American
Named the KJCCC Division 2 Volleyball Freshman of the Year, Rolando averaged 3.25 kills per set (sixth best in the KJCCC) and 0.54 service aces per set which ranked third among KJCCC D2 volleyball players. Providing an all-around presence with 30 total blocks and 56 service aces, Rolando finished the year with 338 total kills while helping lead the Blue Devils to the NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball National Championship match.
Cali Honeyman (Highland) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Second Team All-American
The KJCCC Division 2 volleyball leader in kills per set at 4.46, Honeyman becomes the 10th All-American in Highland volleyball history after finishing the year as the KJCCC leader in total kills (516) and ranking 11th in attack percentage (.251). Honeyman added 27 service aces, 337 digs, and 52 total blocks while ranking seventh among all NJCAA Division 2 volleyball players in total kills and 10th in kills per set.
Veronica Rolando (KCKCC) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Third Team All-American
A key contributor to KCKCC’s 6-2 offensive attack, Rolando was the KJCCC D2 volleyball leader in service aces per set (0.95) after recording a league-best 106 service aces to go along with 666 set assists (fifth in KJCCC D2 volleyball) and 6.00 set assists per set. Helping the Blue Devils record a team attack percentage of .234 and average 12.48 kills per set across 33 matches, Rolando ranked second in NJCAA Division 2 in total service aces and eighth in service aces per set.
Ashlynn Jaccard (Cowley) – NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Third Team All-American
One of the most efficient offensive players in all of NJCAA Division 2 volleyball, Jaccard finished her sophomore year with a KJCCC-best .516 attack percentage to rank third nationally. Jaccard added 277 total kills to go along with 68 total blocks while also ranking 18th nationally in service aces (75) while helping the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball National Tournament.
