2025 KJCCC D1 Volleyball Players of the Week - Week 7
COLBY, Kan. – Strong weeks by both Colby Community College and Barton Community College within Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play have led to KJCCC D1 Volleyball Player of the Week honors for Trojan players Ella Dridi and Amanda Caputi, along with Cougar Mina Kaneko.
Stasa Stamenkovic (Barton) - KJCCC D1 Volleyball Player of the Week
Freshman outside hitter Stasa Stamenkovic powered 12th-ranked Barton's offense through a two-match conference sweep, leading the Cougars to a straight-set win at Cloud County followed by Saturday's five-set home victory over Hutchinson. Stamenkovic totaled 37 kills on .299 hitting across eight sets, averaging 4.63 kills per set while adding 19 digs and a pair of service aces. Stamenkovic opened the week with 10 kills on .318 hitting in the road sweep of Cloud County before delivering a career-best 27 kills on .292 hitting with 12 digs against Hutchinson, marking her 11th double-double of the season.
Bella Holcomb (Butler) – KJCCC D1 Volleyball Setter of the Week
Freshman setter Bella Holcomb played a key role in Butler's 2-0 week, leading the Grizzlies to a thrilling five-set reverse sweep over rival Hutchinson and a dominant three-set victory against Seward County. In the comeback win over the Blue Dragons, Holcomb posted a game-high 46 assists, along with three digs, three kills, and one block assist. She followed up with another strong performance against Seward County, again leading all players with 31 assists. Holcomb also contributed four kills, four digs, and three block assists in the sweep. With these victories, Butler has now won seven of its last eight matches, including four straight.
Sophia Neihouse (Butler) – KJCCC D1 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Butler middle blocker Sophia Neihouse was a force at the net as Butler went 2-0 last week, earning a reverse-sweep victory over rival Hutchinson and a three-set sweep against Seward County. Neihouse totaled 17 block assists across both matches, including seven against Hutchinson and a season-high 10 three days later against Seward County. The sophomore also added consistent offensive production, recording seven kills in each match for a total of 14 on 32 attacks. With these wins, the Grizzlies have now claimed seven of their last eight matches, including four straight victories.
