Federico Castagnini batted .428 for the weekend as he helped
the Cougars win their first series of the conference season
by beating Butler Community College three games to one.
Castagnini gave the Cougars a big start in the series by
hitting a game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the
seventh, then later drove home the winning run in the eighth
inning. |

Glanz continued his
sensational sophomore season Saturday at Hutchinson,
throwing a complete game shutout against the Dragons,
striking out 8 without walking a batter. The complete game
win was the second straight for Glanz and the sophomore
right hander has now left the Seward bullpen with just 2
innings to cover in his past 5 starts. |
