Expectedly at the forefront of the hard charging Seward
County Saints is sophomore Jake Barrios who helped Seward to
a 5-0 week, hitting an even .500 while driving in 7 runs on
the week for the Saints. He had 4 multi-hit games in 5
chances and reached base in all five of the Saints wins.
Wednesday against Clarendon he went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI�s
including the game tying RBI in the 7th inning and backed
that up with a big Jayhawk West series against Pratt. In
the opener against the Beavers he was 3 for 4 with an RBI
and 2 runs scored and in game two he was 2 for 3 with 2
RBI�s for the Saints. In the series finale, Barrios came up
big again with 2 hits and 2 RBI�s to give Seward the series
sweep.

Strahm picked up his fifth win of the season tossing
complete game shutout against Highland. It was his school
record 16th career complete game as well as a school record
fourth career shutout. He is now five shy of the career
strikeout record and needs only seven more for the single
season record in that category.
