Beckerman had a huge week at the plate as she batted .555
(15-of-27) and drove in 18 runs, while helping Pratt go 5-2
on the week. In Pratt�s 13-12, 11 inning win over
Independence, she belted a two-run homer in the bottom of
the ninth inning to tie the game and keep the Beavers
alive. Nine of her 15 hits on the week went for extra
bases. Beckerman also impressed on the mound as she allowed
just one earned run in 11 innings of work, while posting a
0.88 earned run average.

Boring earned two wins on the mound for the Lady Red Devils
as she helped Allen County to a perfect 4-0 week. Boring
struck out 12 batters in 12 innings and allowed only nine
hits and four runs. She also helped her cause at the plate
by going 5-for-14 with a triple and eight runs batted in.

Garcia earned a pair of shutout
victories in Brown Mackie�s doubleheader sweep of the Kansas
Wesleyan University JV on Wednesday, Feb. 23. In the first
game, Garcia allowed just one hit and no walks while
striking out 18. She also went 2-for-4 with a double and a
run batted in as Brown Mackie won the opener by a score of
6-0. In the nightcap, Garcia helped her team complete the
sweep by limiting the Kansas Wesleyan JV to three hits in
seven innings. She would strike out nine more in the 1-0 win
of the second game and finished the doubleheader with 27
strikeouts and no walks.
