Kate James pounded opposing pitchers this weekend in seven games at Colby. She went 11-19 at the plate (.579) with more than half of her hits being home runs. Her six home runs, give her 18 on the season to break the Butler school record. She also had two doubles, drove in 17 runs and scored 15 runs herself, while also drawing four walks.

Paige Crawford made the most of her eight at bats on the week as she went 5-for-8 with five home runs and 10 runs batted in. The freshman also walked twice as she had a .700 on base percentage. Along with her batting prowess, Crawford also went 1-0 inside the circle as she pitched 9 1/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits.

Maggie Ham earned five wins in seven games this week, including throwing the first four innings of a combined no-hitter, which came when Butler blanked No. 17 Western Nebraska, 14-0. She allowed just three earned runs on four hits in 15 innings pitched, while striking out 24 opposing batters.
