JCCC sophomore midfielder Lucas Rodriguez helped JCCC capture its second straight Region VI title, scoring a point in all three JCCC tournament victories. He had an assist in the first round win over Hesston. He netted two goals in a 3-1 win over Kansas City Kansas, and he had one goal, a game-winner, against nationally ranked and undefeated Barton County in the championship game. On the season, Rodriguez ranks second in points and goals with 30 and 12 respectively. He leads the team with five game-winning goals.
